Hope you enjoyed my journey with this incredible car, I can't wait to try the "Performance" variant very soon! Big thanks once again to the Audi Press team for throwing me the keys to this for many winter months ♥

Don’t care if a M3 beats it in a drag race, and it’s the slowest out of the M5 and E63, this is the one I want, this is the dream. It just looks so amazing, sounds amazing, interior is amazing.

This car will go down in history as the prettiest wagon/estate of all time....Even Audi wont beat this design again....

I have rs6 c8 for almost 3 year now. I absolut love the car. The only thing I changed is the exhaust. I installed the akrapovic. Perfect.

You can fix that door closing issue in software. It's because the seals are good and you're creating an air pressure spike when you close the door. There is a feature/ setting in software to slightly drop "short drop" the window of each door when it's opened, and seal it back up again after it's closed. This alleviates the air pressure pushing back against the door closing, and the door will close easier every time.

I’m so glad I watched this. I can’t stand sluggish cars that are powerful and leave you frustrated and wanting more. That’s why tiny electric cars can feel so fast because they have such amazing throttle response and launch satisfyingly off the line and out of corners punching well above their weight.

Great video and channel! I owned a C7 RS6 from 2013 - 2022. My 2013 car, ebis white, was a press car and loaded with everything available at the time. In 2015 I took it to Litchfield and had the stage 2 conversion (featured in Top Gear mag).Did over 120, 000 miles in it and loved every minute. With the miles stacking up, and a few potential issues with the dynamic ride, we parted ways. So I now have a 2022 RS5 (driven for 1.5 years). It is a nice car, I have always though the A5 was a nice car and had one of the first to arrive in the UK in 2008. But in every way (other than perhaps economy), it is just no match for the RS6. So I am soon to turn back to an RS6, just waiting for the right nearly new one to become available with everything on my Wishlist. And yes, it will go to Litchfield again who have already worked their magic on the C8 model. As we move towards 2030 I have no interest at this time to be driving an EV, I want a stonking V8! Mark.

Thanks Joe. Its very helpful to have your insight into this RS6 as you have living with it for some months. Your feedback is much appreciated. Cheers mate and keep up the quality work you do.

As a RSQ8 owner your outlook on ownership is spot on. To fix the throttle lag I installed a pedal box which is a simple plug and play device that sharpness response drastically. Unfortunately these engines do also suffer from turbo lag so it’s still there but not as bad. As for the doors I’ve also noticed the same thing, not as much as you have but that may be because I have frameless doors which allow some air to escape. I also own a c7 RS7 and that car is more of a dynamic car but no where near as comfortable as the RSQ8. I wish Audi didn’t lean that far towards comfort, but I have a feeling as other VAG cars are coming out Audi’s are being nerfed to prevent in brand competition.

I had my C8 RS6 for 1.5yrs…never had an issue with my doors…but the throttle response is a minor issue but really minor..Great review!

That thing about the doors not closing, I reckon you hit the nail on the head. Back in the 90s my mate had a really good condition 70s VW Beetle and i had the exact same issues. I could only shut his passenger door properly if he had his quarter light (I think they're called? The little tiny pop open window old cars used to have?) The air pressure inside if you happened to be sitting in the back when someone shut a door made your ears pop/hurt!

The fact it doesn’t has the roof, for me it’s a positive thing…less problems and worries to have . For the rest, I’m obsessed by this car .

Can't beat a fast estate, and a fast Audi, and a V8! Lots of boxes ticked. Love that colour too! 😎

Two of my favourite cars, from my lottery wish list...RS6 and M5 Competition. Also two of my favourite sets of automotive YouTube videos created by yourself Joe.

Brilliant theory/observation on the door shutting.

Really interesting final take. Even as an M5 owner, I have definite envy over this car, especially the looks, the sound, the ride and the added practicality. I need to drive one but I do worry that I’d miss the more “pants on fire” of the M when I really felt like it. Would love to own one though. 👍

+1 .. Excellent Audi RS6 wagon review ... Very down to earth er relevant. Long time subscriber, , yet must tune in more. .. Recently took delivery of a '23 Merc E-450 wagon .. Merc's newer inline 3.0l turbo straight 6cly output is sublime for a family (dogs) wagon. .. Yes, the air suspension on these wagons is killer. .. Cheers, Vail, Colorado

A big thanks for all the owners in and around the East Midlands
I will never be able to own one, but thanks to you hero's, occasionally I get to see/ listen to one.
Such a " alpha male" shape and styling and noise👍

I have soft door closure. Agree with you about the throttle pick up. I find if you knock it into sport mode just before it minimises this.
