I've heard this call so many times. For the longest time, I thought it was an owl, but owls are more nocturnal, plus they have a deeper voice, from what I'm told. Now I know.

If you live in Florida like me, you hear these things almost 24/7. And at first it’s annoying, but eventually you get used to it and eventually love it.

oh my god i can perfectly replicate these dove calls ever since i was little. the doves will do their call and i’ll do it back and we’ll just go back and forth. my favorite thing to do is when walking to the bus i’ll do the call, and i’ll watch them look around. they have no idea it’s me and they think it’s another bird so when they look around in confusion it gives me a kick

Did you see how the Dove watched the little girl walk on by?

It’s like the dove’s the guardian Angel of the home!

Hearing that brings back so many memories of the one I had as a kid, his name was Luna and I saved him after he was attacked by a cat

Gotta love that “Nonono” before the little girl walks past.

When I was a kid, I thought this call was an owl's. That's what my grandma said it was. I should've asked my other grandma. She was the bird fanatic.
