Should you be testing for hormonal imbalances? This is a controversial topic. Most conventional docs will say that testing for hormone imbalances is not necessary. However, testing is what enabled me to fix my own hormone imbalances and get the help that I needed.

Since symptoms of many hormonal imbalances overlap, testing is necessary to truly understand which hormones are in need of help. Test, don't guess!

In this video, I explain why testing for hormonal imbalances is so important. When you should start testing, types of hormone tests available and when to use them, and how to get affordable testing for hormonal imbalances at home.

I think I need to be tested. I am 51 and have been having symptoms such as depression, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, fatigue, sleeplessness, heart palpitations. Happy to be here.

Yes!! Thank you so much for this!!! For years, I begged Doctors to test my hormones because my cycle started to change and they just said “oh not necessary.” They suggested biopsy, removed polyps and even suggested ablation! Blaming my issues on peri menopause and then I started bleeding heavily for 16 days with heavy heavy clottting and bleeding. I finally had to go and demand to be seen and tested. They found I had too much estrogen and I was diagnosed with hyperplasia! Luckily I did not have a complex case and the Merena was able to correct my condition and return my hormones to a natural balance. I am now 55 and still have the Merena.

I asked to have my hormones tested and my doctor said, 'we don't do that unless there's an issue'. It's interesting what things doctors are proactive about and what things seem to be of no concern.

I am a holistic practitioner, and I have been doing a lot of training and education on hormones, including from you, so thank you. My question is related to you mentioning in this video that it's never too late to begin BHT. However, I am consistently hearing that once someone has been in menopause for 10 years, and they have not yet started BHT, many hormone experts are recommending not to. I'm not sure if they're saying that because it would be dangerous, though you indicated it would not be, or that it wouldn't do any good, which I would find that hard to believe. So why are many of the hormone experts saying this?

Very interesting. I was going to talk with my doctor about my hormones but I'm sure she wouldn't of taken the time to do the right thing to help me. When I was younger I use to get cramps so bad it made me cry. I'll be 70 in coule weeks. I do have osterperosis, I have alot of hair on my face, and lose my hair. Thank You for sharing the information . Take Care

I'm 44, on the depo shot for years, no period. 1- how would you know when to test your hormones? 2- would you suggest an IUD over depo shot? Is an IUD better for my age?

We had a cat named Carly. She showed up in our garage and it took my daughter 2 weeks to gain her trust and bring her in the house.

I really need your help . I have been on HRT from you, and need to have my hormones tested again . I have run out of my progesterone, and because of illness and things beyond my control, I wasn't taking all of them - the estrogen, etc ??? So I would like the saliva again, if this is the best way . I am 78, and will be 79 in Oct . No hot flashes. I want to feel good again . I am having trouble with facial hair happening, and belly fat, and brain fog

Since menopause, my body feels like a dried up piece of paper . I sometimes feel if I move the wrong way, something will break . My feet constantly hurt for no reason what so ever. My sleep pattern is so bad that sometimes like last night, I just couldn't sleep all night . I am constantly exhausted . I have put on so much weight that I look pregnant . It's just awful . I just do not know what to do . I have had a few blood tests done, after the last one which did not hurt; my arm bruised, and now that arm has hurt me like it aches constantly, this is even after a year . I tried taking genetic bioidentical pills and gel for a while but this scared me as when putting the gel on my legs lumps started coming up where I put the gel, so I stopped . All my joints hurt . I wondered if I had brittle bones so I have my bone density tested, they said it was fine . I'm completely a mess and I just do not know what to do about it . Initially the doctor gave me patches these kept falling off and then there was no supply of them for some time . I'm a dance teacher, now a fat old looking dance teacher . I was slim and fine until my late 40's now I', 52 and my 80 year old mother has less pains than I do . I just do not know what to do.

How safe are bioidentical hormones? What are your thoughts on hormone supplements and how some doctors equate women getting cancer in their uterus, cervix, etc...to taking hormones?

I've had a Mirena for 17years and haven't had a period. I'm 54 and in the last few years have been experiencing dreadful insomnia (which thankfully is about 50% better now); am currently experiencing brain fog / memory problems; general incontinence and the occasional hot flashes. would my hormone test be compromised because of the Mirena?
Re the incontinence - I joined a site and have been doing 'Buff Muff' exercises for the past 5 months with very little improvement. Is this something that getting my hormones balanced would improve?

I am 68 and post menopausal. Weight gain and Insomnia are the main issues I deal with. I'm 3 weeks into the Metaboli Renewal Program with Dr Jade. Losing weight is really hard. What else can I do?

Regarding supporting estrogen metabolism:. During perimenopause, I was very estrogen dominant and was taking calcium D glucarate and DIM. Now my estrogen is very low and I am nearing menopause. When estrogen is low, or when in menopause, is it still necessary to take something to support estrogen metabolism?
