The question is why do some grab the rope and others refuse. It's the why someone decides to grab it that gets me, only because they were predestined to yet the rope is freely given to anyone who would receive it, a paradox that is beyond human understanding. Studying this verse in context, Jesus is talking to His disciples regarding Chapter 14. But, in 1 John 5, for instance, it’s for all believers, praying in His Will.

You are preaching half truth even though nobody pray for a TV or material wants when praying for the sick in Jesus Name but the healing did not manifest - is it not the will of God for the sick to be healed?

so I have a few questions I'm having trouble with answering to myself because not everyone you encounter is well read on the Gospels but I would like to be ready for when these questions are asked to me, if anyone here could help need out with these I would greatly appreciate it. 1. what answer do we give to people when they bring up the topic of incest in the Bible was it right? or was it simply a necessary part of the times. 2. what do we say to the question of slavery in the old testament is seems it was ok to have slaves but after Moses it feels like God is trying to wean people off slavery then Jesus breaks the chains. How would I go about answering these questions to a non believer. thank you
