If you listen carefully, at 2:45 you'll start hearing 'Canon in D' in the background.

After losing my mom back in 2019 this hits me so hard, in a way I didn't think was possible anymore after all the hardships I've been through since then

I love that you credit EVERYONE involved with the music. That's very kind of you. I love the art too. The Evangelion series is truly a work of art.

One of the most beautiful soundtracks used in Evangelion.
I would've loved Misato to have actually lived a happy life with her son.

its sad misato really gave shinji motherly love and supported him to be himself. plus her and kaji had a great kid who seems caring, what a great character

The transition at 2:05 is beautiful man. I love it. I cried it. I miss her....

It was an honour to witness your leadership, bravery, and sacrifice.

It was an even greater privilege to see Misato the person, the kickass big sister, the human beneath.

Sayonara, and fare thee, well commander.

Song makes me cry every time. My mom died almost a year ago. I really miss her. The grief hasn't really gone away, it's just gotten easier to live with.

And now my dad's dead too. April 18th, 2023 and July 15th 2024.

Misato was not a good mother. She was not a great guardian for Shinji or Auska. She lacked as even a lover for Kaji. That said, she was the matriarch for the show. Flawed, but real, she is the embodiment of the feeling of grit. Rash, sultry, bold, but still a broken girl out for revenge. The way she eventually has a child and then repeats what her father did strikes a cord with me. She hated her father, but also abandoned her own son for the greater good. Such a deep character. Her death was fitting and well done in the final film.

Cried a lot when knew her tragic ending both manga and end of evangelion.
Farewell, Misato.

I've never watched, but only heard of Evangelion. Regardless of YouTube's algorithm working mysterious ways, this song is absolutely gorgeous and Shirō Sagisu is a genious. Great work to all involved and thanks for the upload.

Binged the entire series and rebuild movies for the first time in 2023, goddamn what a great franchise.

Because no matter the universe, no matter how many times someone turns reality inside out, Misato loves her boy, and she'll fight for him however she needs to.

Damn you S2P, this legit made me cry seeing the visuals you chose for this already wonderful song. Beautiful, simply beautiful.

Shiro Sagisu might be one of the greatest score composers of all time, his soundtracks are works of art on their own.

It's hard to keep going but i will
My dad died through this hard path, i don't really know where to go as i don't have a mother– I'm alone to myself even when there are people around me, it feels horrible but i know, i know i cant stop because that's not what my father would have wanted, i've been waiting for this movie and it's themes, it's music, it's animation. It keeps me standing some of the days i fall and wonder what i'm even meant to do anymore or where to go. Thanks for uploading this, i needed it!

The voice, the instrumental, the scene, all these create one transcendental feeling I've never feel before.
