As many know, the best way to learn is to listen. Siobhan and Leslyn will be presenting initial findings from Voices of Lipedema, our research into the lived experience of women with lipedema. This ongoing project is an effort to catalog the voices of women with lipedema, allowing them to express what they have struggled with, experienced, and learned from their journey. From common symptoms to experiences with medical providers, the experiences of those with the condition highlight areas that need additional focus in the coming years to help women with lipedema truly thrive and feel heard.

Getting the official diagnosis definitely lit a fire in me. A keto/low carb, intermittent fasting lifestyle was critical in helping me lose over 60 pounds, but managing lipedema is a full time job. Would love to find nonsurgical ways to make this easier.
