McArthur is saying that because the physical blood was symbolic of the fulfillment of the old Testament sacrifice practice, but the propitiation of our sins was paid for when God poured the cup of wrath out on Christ (which occured spiritually).

That's not fair you don't have to misrepresent McArthur that clip is plucked out a context he was laboring to teach, he is simply saying that the saving power of the blood of christ is not the literal bleeding or the fluid itself but the atonement it represents. Otherwise it not be possible for everyone in the whole world to get a price of it literally and shower it but rather believing in it's propitiating/atoning power to the Father and also to the beleiver for cleansing of the sinners conscience...please don't mislead for know McArthur better

I would have to see the whole sermon to say with out a doubt. John McArthur is a man of God but was he trying to say the actual blood of Jesus saves us, but where do I get some of this blood, or was he saying the whole story is set around Jesus Christ being an offering to God almighty to save our sins or was it the actual blood of Jesus Christ is needed to save us which would be impossible

There are a lot of " Literals " in God's word. Jesus also said " if you do not drink my Blood and eat My flesh, you are not my disciples. I am the bread of that mean we drink his Sir, no man is perfect. But bashing another without meaning is not nice
