There's been a ton of hype around the unique design of the Nike Flight Ball, which is set to be used across various professional leagues this upcoming season, but what about the rest of the line? The top-end Flight ball retails for the high price of $160, with the cheaper alternatives being the $60 Club Elite, the $30 Strike, the $20 Pitch and the $12 Mini. What are the differences between them? That's exactly what I go over in this video as we discuss the entire line of 2020/21 Nike Flight balls from the most expensive option, to the cheapest. Which version would you buy?

Hey Jim I was wondering if you could create a video of good "budget" ball options!

i bought a 35 dollar nike strike ball from academy and so far its amazing, it performs really good and hasnt failed me, i think its a really good deal and better than alot of the balls on that price range

There’s also a Nike Flight Club ball that sits between the Strike and Club Elite and is around for 35 $. A good budget option!

160 for a ball? Surely comes with life insurance no deflate policy

In 2023, the Club Elite is WAY better made than that year’s version. And it’s Quality Pro certified by FIFA.

None of my mates understand spending money on a match ball and always poke fun. Every time we play they go for my ordem match ball. But, "tHe BaLl DoEsN't MaKe A dIfErEnCe." 😂

Just a note for people trying to decide whether or not it’s worth spending the money on the high end ball. I’ve had about 50 soccer balls ranging from $10 balls to match balls and if you can find the money then a match ball is 100% worth the investment. Along with feeling more premium and being much more consistent, the big factor for me is the durability. Every takedown ball I’ve bought has fallen apart within less than two years whereas every match ball I’ve gotten over the past 10 years is still in almost perfect condition structurally. If you can, spend the money and get a match ball.

Can’t disagree with your review, but I’d add for size 3 and 4 balls for youth leagues and teams, there are no other consistent, durable, and affordable balls on the market than the Strike line. I have some 3 years old, used 3-5 times a week on grass and turf, and they still weigh the same, play the same, and a quick scrub in the sink and they look almost new!!

I have the adidas euro pass match ball from 2008 which I have used regularly and still use it in 5v5 on artificial turf or just general training . The ball is still in perfect shape holds air as it did from day one and no issues. I bought an adidas mls replica ball in may of last year and haven’t used it anywhere near as much as the 2008 one and it’s in bits, material peeling off doesn’t hold air for more than 2 days etc. I payed 80€ on eBay for the euro pass match ball and 20€ for the adidas mls replica. The match ball if you can get on sale is definitely worth every penny as it’s still in perfect condition.

*So how does the Nike flight perform? You told us you was going to test it and tell us in a future video how it performs, in your first video of the ball.*

Hey jasuke, serious question, is “what’s up” a greeting or a question

Strange that they went away from fuse welding the $60 ball. The Magia balls in last years lineup had very few differences from the Merlin.

You can find match balls for less from previous seasons. And yes they do make a big difference in the touch and overall play of the the game. Until you’ve played with match balls you just don’t know.

Nike Flight 3D micro texture makes all the difference in rain/wet/snow. I have not played before with a ball which touch/feel or rather grip would be so close to dry conditions.
The Flight could be bought for like 65$ (in "generic" colours - yellow/blue/orange with a Serie A stamp or Tinkoff Premier Liga stamp) back in January in Europe but it is back into 130's.
UPDATE:
A bubble formed on the ball - returning the ball for a refund :(
