Gotham is my favorite show of all time. I love how it interprets the batman lore into an origin story that also fleshes out many of batman’s supporting characters in interesting ways i haven’t seen in other batman media.

That said, Gotham’s sofia ain’t nothing compared to penguins. Gotham’s sofia is a supporting villain, who’s made to be as unsympathetic as possible as she tries to undo all the progress our protagonists make, and that’s interesting in the context of Gotham. But Sofia in penguin is literally one of the most layered and complicated characters i’ve ever seen in a comic book show, and takes the idea of that characters and runs with it so well. Gotham is amazing but between these 2 takes on sofia, one is clearly the better version.

The penguin version wins.Don’t get me wrong here i love sofia falcone from gotham she was a great character.But the writers ruined her own story.Sofia gigante from the penguin tv show has the persona and the excellent writing so i’m sorry but gigante all the way

Whoa there. Sofia in The Penguin was NOT looking to restore her family’s power. No she was looking to establish her own using her mom’s maiden name Gigante. She disavowed the Falcone name. But in the end Sofia wanted nothing to do with it and was willing to give it all away if someone got Penguin for her
