Thank you for another great video..It gave me the 'push' to upload my Ancestry tree to Find My Past..I currently have a sub to Ancestry and Find My Past, so interesting to now be able to compare 'apples to apples' with the Ancestry GEDcom on Find My Past...just wish I had done it sooner, I had grand plans to bulid a separate tree on FMP, never got too far...Thank you for the nudge!!

Thank you for this video! just watched 3 of your videos and subscribed. I've recently started an ancestry.co.uk account to research my English-Cornish heritage and will try findmypast as well. Many of my family were tin miners and moved to the gold mines of South Africa and Utah USA. Familysearch had all the images for south African records.

Actually everytime someone uploads their tree this site FindMyPast gets info for them to share to others... Gets documents that they then get to share with others. They all do it.

How does Find My Past differ from Ancestry.com or FamilySearch.org? What is the value in using it?

I've got loads of people in my tree who want their info kept private, and many people I've figured out and loaded into my tree. Can I load up my GEDCOM and still keep their info private?

I already pay for Ancestry. Pay for another service that MIGHT have additional records? Ummm...no. Upload my tree to a service that won't show me records? Ummm...no. I'll spend the money on upgrading my Ancestry account instead.

Go to find my past and searcha name instead. See what they have as far as documents and what you have to pay for
