Another good guide to note is that the women’s numbers in the jeans actually do mean something. So this is true for the 700 and 300 series. Ex. 721 high rise skinny- 7 meaning the cotton to elastin ratio, 2 meaning the rise, and 1 meaning the leg opening. For the rise and leg opening the higher the number, the longer the rise or wider the leg opening. No one knows why Levi Strauss called the first pair the 501- but since the women’s jeans were developed much later they were able to implement an actual number system for some of the styles. Men’s on the other hand were developed off of the 501, and each corresponding number goes back to a comparison to it but there is no rhyme or reason to the numbers.

Started working at Levi's recently, and while I can actually tell you absolutely EVERYTHING about every jean we have, I haven't seen them all on a person and on motion to get an actually acurate idea of how exactly does each one fit (ex: where would a mile high waitsline tipically sit, or how skinny are actually the 501 skinny). Seeing the low rise, High rise jeans really do look better and glad they are instyle.

I agree that the butt is the deal breaker, but posing with your back arched makes it impossible to see how the jeans shape the butt in everyday life.
Also the heels make everything look better, and I would have liked to see how the jeans do the job without the aid.
Basically they all look the same to me, but the video is still plenty informative.

Hi, just wanted to say that I own three pairs of 721 but they’re all different colors and each one of them has a different fabric. So people should be aware that depending on the color, the feel and fit of the same style will vary.
Anyway, I seriously loved this video, the idea of analyzing every style is genius! Why don’t you have more views?! 😩

I am not currently a jeans wearer - in fact I only started to wear trousers a few years ago as I was brought up as a skirt/dresses only girl due to a strict religious background. I am now looking to start wearing jeans and this guide is so useful in showing the different styles available. The rear views were especially useful as I am still a little self conscious at how my bottom looks in trousers and would not want jeans that emphasise my bottom too much

I love the mile high back pockets!! Also I appreciate the "rear" view you're completely right about it making or breaking a jean! You could look super hot or dumpy all depending on the pockets.

It's good to know how it looks from behind but there is too much focus on that in this video, you should show it from the front more as well as the front pockets.

If I could make request for future versions? Would love it if you could include a short twirl @ the end of without heels ...love me some heels (cuz they make our bootie look fab) but mostly wear my denim with 👟 & have found it sometimes makes quite a difference in the final look ☺️. Not a criticism, just a request- I’m so thankful u took them time to do all these!
