As we begin to study muscles and their actions, it’s important that we don’t forget that our body functions as a whole organism. Although we learn the actions of individual muscles, in real movement, no muscle works alone. While we often have one main muscle to do an action, it is nearly always assisted in that action by other muscles. To keep things in balance in the body we also nearly always have a muscle that is assisting, resisting, or opposing any action. Let’s take a look at how we describe these relationships between muscles.

I've been surfing through a lot of videos looking for some sort of solution to a problem I can't get rid of. I've had a painful burning sensation in my lower-mid and occasionally upper quads even after going up the stairs or doing a single squat for about a year now. I've had nerve tests, a MRA, a MRI, and have been to countless appointments but nothing has changed. I was wondering what some of the causes could be for exertional bilateral quad burning? I do run very often and this problem is has caused me to hit a wall. (I understand this video has absolutely nothing to do with this question, my apologies.)
