When you turn off the safety systems do they stay off or do they come on by default?

Also, Genesis vehicles come with concierge service, where they pick up and drop off the car from your home/office, like Lexus do

Thank you for the review, the V6 G70 Gensis looks impressive.
We are looking to replace an ageing second car and something a little upmarket, we won’t go back to a Merc, perhaps another BMW or maybe a Genesis. However, another car at home with the same intrusive bing/bong systems is cause to think again. Hopefully this is not permeating through all cars.
You can see the Hyundai influence with some of the dashboard buttons. We have a 2023 Hyundai Palisade Highlander and it seems like the Genesis has also inherited the same “bing/bong” systems that drive you crazy.
We have a ”preflight” routine, this is required every time the engine is started.
It requires opening Settings on the display, selecting Vehicle, then selecting Speed Alerts – confirming Off, then going to a separate section in the Settings and turning off Lane Keep Assist. With a bike rack on the towbar it is a MUST to turn-off two rear alert systems; otherwise the car cannot be reversed 1mm as it thinks the rack is a pedestrian.
As a guide to the level of alerts you may encounter, a 120km round trip from an eastern Melbourne suburb to Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula, which includes a small amount of small suburban roads, local arterial highway and major toll/highway sees around 60/70 bings and bongs if nothing is switched off but cruise control is used. Each change in speed zone is “bing”, approaching a fixed speed camera is bing at 1km, another “bing” at 300m, then having passed the speed camera there is another “bing”. Go over the speed limit by 1km/h and “bing”. Get near a white lane marker, left side or right side and “bing”
Driving through a school zone on any day or at any time is a “bing” for the speed zone change and another “bing” if you are over 40km/h, then another “bing” once the school zone is cleared because the speed zone changes. This is despite most cases where the 40km/h being applicable only on actual school days and at certain times in the morning and afternoon.
This aspect of the car is very frustrating, aside from this the Palisade is a joy to drive.
It would be good, if through the “star button” you could program the features and alarms the owner wants to switch off, this way there is only one button to push each time. Hyundai Tech Support was approached regarding this. We were advised this functionality is not possible and they were not aware of other driver concerns regarding the alerts.
