Thank you. I have been in the roofing industry for four years. I have never heard of this. I do a lot of repairs!

here's tip... i added a piece of 3m 2 sided tape inside the roof snake nail holder... holds nail nice and tight, nail goes in at perfect angle you want ... it s only used in areas you can't lift old brittle shingles when replacing a new one...

Great that he's using a brand new arch shingle. Try that on an older 3 tab or arch and he causes crush damage to the shingles.

This tool is designed for helping repairs on old roofs... most old shingles can snap very easy and can only be lifted up 2 inches safely...there is no roofer in the world that can nail a shingle with a roofing hammer if shingle can't be lifted more than 2 inches...Yes roofs with brittle ass shingles will need to be replaced very soon, but replacing a few shingles with the help of this tool will buy you some time and prevent leaks...

great video but the tool is crap, nails have to be flat and it leaves marks on the roof

Thanks for this video. I find this video & tool helpful for the homeowner having to do the occasional DIY. Professional roofers may have an "old school" way of doing things and, as long as quality is not sacrificed, that's fine. Bet that, if the professionals had this tool handy, they might use it.

Still not better than a drywall screw and some caulk

I wish it would nail alittle bit deeper under the shingle. It can only do 1 inch deep, but there is no other tool. It is ideal for slate singles also.

Bought one. Tool does not fit nail heads. First hit with the hammer and the nail flies out. Nail leans to side at an angle. Piece of junk. I tried it many times and I have experience. If you get one, test the fit with roofing nail first If not a perfect fit SEND IT BACK. YOU CAN HAVE MINE!!!

My crew and boss would be pissed if I took all that time to place the nail then get about 50 taps like this guy then readjust the snake took to set one nail no way man. That’s why I watched this review because I had a feeling it was way too inficiant. Just flip your hand palm up and push with thumb and hold nail between index and middle finger or just hold up and get a maghatch

If he used a real roofing hammer... Or even just a normal hammer, it would take less than 20 taps to drive one nail...🤔

lmao

anyone in the insurance industry knows that the last thing a roofer wants is something that makes repairs easier.
