This tool, like any other tool, requires time/skill to use properly, every tool has nuances. A hammer, has the potential to damage shingles. A knife has the potential to cut too deep and damage shingles. A nail gun has the potential to over drive a nail and damage shingles.
Spend quality time with your tools in THEIR environment for hundreds of hours and you'll see what I mean.

This video benefits you!!! You don't like the tool because it is a great tool to repair shingles. You don't' want to see tool of this magnitude because limits your excuse of a shingle repairability. The tool works!!!!

I have an adjuster standing firm that a 20 plus yr old shingle can be repaired by this tool.
Question: does the HO have the right in GA to a second opinion. I've had a few cases where The HO has demanded a new inspection by a new inspector but they refuse, saying theirs not enough reason to send anyone else out, which in those cases were "bull"!

everyone is looking out for their own pockets. PAs want to inflate every claim because they take home 10-35% of the claim. bigger claim, more money in their pockets. Insurance companies want to minimize claims. Person left holding the bag - homeowner

There is the new and improved roof snake.three times the money.
Only seen them in pictures, but it looks like the same tool.
So what is the improvement?

You’ve never been on a roof…a roof is sloped downward and the tool works when holding the handle/pry side. Try it out.

you can just hold it up so the rear of the tool does not touch the roof, the amount of force to drive a roofing nail is not so much

Gotta say, I use this tool for every shingle repair I do (roughly 3-4 a week). The angle is a non-issue for me. You have over an inch nail on the front and by the time you run out of room the nail is already driving straight. I strongly disagree with your review and recommend this tool.

You aren't considering that the nail keeps it raised at the beginning of the procedure. It doesn't start with the head all the way down.. 😅 its raised by the nail length. You lower it as the nail is driven.. keeping it parallel. Pretty simple. Learning curve... Just place a nail in the slot.. and redo your demo.. you'll instantly see than the head cannot be angled like you claim.

I bet I could make it work, you make easy look impossible.
