Great video. Straight to the point without railing on and on.

I've owned several gas tankless water heaters and they all last about 5 years. The savings isn't worth the cost of these Tankless water heaters. Plus, the maintenance you have to do every year. Better have with tank. Don't get me wrong I love never running out of hot water. But the cost of replacing these is very expensive. A tank water heater can last up to 20 years.

Great advise. I just changed my plan to have an electric instant hot water system.

My neighborhood doesn’t have a natural gas feed. And my current electric tank heater sucks. We run out of hot water pretty quickly. It’s around 17 years old so maybe upgrading to a new one is the way to go.

The cons you mentioned for the tankless electric are disheartening. I was really thinking about going that route.

Switching from electric tank water heater to electric tankless, how much electric will I save? I know from family that had gas tanks to gas tankless they saved a lot on gas but want to know for electric.

All you need is array or parallel power resistor or high power heating elements and combine them in array and each one can heat if quality of resistors good and efficient and natural gas can be the same with serial or paralel burn nozzle intall or microwave of 2000 w above can to and this technoyneeded for future airplane steam jet engine

Oh my! Nobody needs to heat up hot water. Wait and see what your outdoor unit looks like after a few years. Not to mention the black marks from the burner. My electric unit is 3 ft from my electric panel. Bathrooms are on the other side of the wall. Pennies to operate.

Does the gas tankless hot water heater still require electricity to work? Even though it's a gas heater?

Installing gas can be expensive too specially if you have no infrastructure… you literally gave no pros or cons about the actual units… just your experience of when it went too expensive with electric… I have a tankless electric at home and with solar my cost for heating my water is $0 so the cost of installation is now a none issue after 3 years of running it. What’s your cost for gas to this day?

I know what you talking about, but if you live in a high rise apartment you be afraid to have a 60 gallon tank in your home

Well when you have to replace your Rheem tank every 6 months or a little more the tankless water heater is looking good. Have to replace mine today again because it's leaking as usual.

Does the electric hot water heater require electricity if the water is already hot.😁

Power company should upgrade your service for free. You will need to pay for an electrician to upgrade your panel on the inside though.
