Outdoor vs Indoor Tankless Water Heater – What Are The Differences? (A Detailed Comparison). Welcome to our video on the outdoor vs. indoor tankless water heater.

The main difference between outdoor and indoor tankless water heaters is their location of installment.

Outdoor tankless water heaters are made with durable enclosures and thus can be installed outdoors, as the name suggests. Their role is to heat water instantaneously around the household without the use of a water storage unit, i.e., a water tank. When the hot water faucet is turned on, cold water passes through a heat exchanger in the unit. The heat exchanger may be powered by either natural gas or an electric element. The water is warmed as it passes through the pipe in the unit, thus providing a constant flow of hot water in a household.

Similarities
Both outdoor and indoor tankless water heaters are used to heat water for the household and use the exact mechanism to do so. They are both connected to the household’s plumbing system and the gas or electrical system.

What bran of outdoor electric water heater do you recommend? I'm in a new home and the Rheem that the builder put on froze and malfunctioned in 10° weather. Just curious as to what I should do.
