This thing wouldn't pickup water, no suction. Nothing clogged. Tried the hose, put the suction end into a bowl of water. It started ducking the water. Removed the hose, made sure the the litter hose door was closed. All is good now. I'm thinking maybe the pump needed priming. To much air not enough water to get it started. Hope this help. Seems the author of the video us no help answering. Here anyway .

I will never recommend or purchase another Hoover product. The hose attachment will not dispense the water/solution mixture. No clogs, the machine is practically brand new. Two years old, has been used maybe 5 times. Absolutely ridiculous.

So mine longer suctions anymore, I took out the dirty water tank and it has suction from the right side. But when I use my hoover smartwash no dirty water goes into the tank. Also when im using the hoover a bunch of foam pops out from the bristles. Also there no suction from the hose connection. Only suction my hoover has is when you remove the dirty water tank and feel the right side hole. Plz help

This is THE most ridiculous troubleshooting video ever for NOT dispensing. Its silly that your only solution is to make sure theres water in the tank and then you only talk avout the hose. No one is coming here for that! The whole issue is the water isn't dispensing from the bottom to the rug. Only the solution tank is dispensing.

Any tips on reattaching the removable recovery nozzle? Absolutely does not snap on as y'all show, doesn't snap back into place at all no matter what is done

Should detergent spray out from the sides of the unit while moving forward. I notice that where the brushes are, a small amount of detergent comes out from the sides.

**I found a resolution to loss of suction not mentioned in the video.
When putting all the compartments together, make sure everything is clicked in place, specifically right above the dirty water compartment. It doesn’t tilt back necessarily, but you almost have to push the vacuum handle forward further past upright to click at the top of the dirty compartment. This has caused me loss of suction on multiple occasions.

I was about ready to throw my Smart Wash in the trash because loss of vacuum. I had cleaned everything before but to no avail, but tried again after seeing this, and it is back up and working. I must have missed a piece of lint that caused loss of vacuum, but my spot chase doesn't work even with a change of batteries.

The brushes not spinning is a known mechanical fault because the machine was poorly engineered. Either the belts loosen or the ball bearings begin to rust after a short period of time. If it’s bearings, I let the brush arm that has the bearings soak in vinegar to remove the rust. This worked for me but requires a long period of time because vinegar is a mild acid hope this helps anyone.

I used the first time and it worked like it should with the bottom cylinder collecting all the dirty water. I emptied it and cleaned it along with the filter and the brushes and it stopped collecting the dirty water, so my carpet is all wet with the top cylinder doing what it is supposed to, so I have to put it on dry to try and get some of the water out, but it is still not pulling the water from the carpet. I like how it cleans, because I have a light colored carpets in the bedrooms, but I can't get it to perform like it did on my first use.

My hoover smart wash brush turn for two seconds then stop. I cleaned the brushes and bearing parts in brush assembly, but still, the problem persists. Can you please advise what the problem could be?

Literally used it once, a month ago & it’s not dispensing water. Like what suction hose are you referring to? I don’t have a detachable suction hose

the user manual does not say how to put detergent into the smallest "Solution container" (the washing machine Hoover has 3 containers: for clean water - 1 gallon, for output dirty liquid, and the smallest one for the cleaning solution recommended by Hoover manufacturer). So, do we need to put 3oz of cleaning solution into the "Solution smallest container" without mixing it with the water? this is never nowhere said.

After trying to trouble shoot this product, i have thrown it away. Realized on trash day that it was a horrible idea. I quickly ran down to the end of the drive way and grabbed it from the curb right before the trash man grabbed it. I proceeded to take it into my back yard, hit it with a hammer several times and then i caught it on fire. It now hangs in my lawn as a lawn ornament amongst the weeds.
