The Chinese naval presence in the Indian Ocean has become a matter of concern for the Indian security establishment. Chinese research and survey vessels are continuing to map the 90-degree ridge region, aiming to prepare for future submarine forays into the Indo-Pacific region. China wants to create an alternative sea route via Lombok and the Ombai-Wetar Straits of Indonesia to reach the eastern shores of Africa through the southern Indian Ocean route. It also wants to use a new route so that its submarines can easily enter the Indian Ocean without giving up its position. Watch this video to know more.

It's also worth noting, that Chinese citizens and therefore soldiers are extremely afraid of death (probably because of the last famine).
It is really amazing to see the insane level of fear of death, being reflected in basically every action that may only slightly risk one's life.
Basically no Chinese person would risk their lives for others. The idea of risking your life to save a stranger basically does not exist in China (of modern times).

We should have a military base and increased cooperation with Phillipines and further develop Andaman & Nicobar Islands defence capability.

India must recognise Taiwan as an independent country and must start talks to have a base in Taiwan or Phillipines
