How to really check transmission fluid Chevy Cruze 2011-2016

Some transmission fluid leaked out and I put some more, but I had to check the amount of fluid the right way. And in this video I followed Chevrolet Cruze Automatic Transmission Fluid level checking and fluid adding and topping it off step by step recommended by Chevy itself.

What if u check it without the engine running? The place I just went to did a transmission flush, then I watched them check the fluid level under the car just like u did but the car was off? Hope that's ok and gave an accurate reading for my car... I did see about half a liter of extra fluid pour out

While it was over filled did you notice any rough shifting? My mechanic just did a flush and refill and now my cruze is shifting ruff, but I noticed he is always drinking beer while working on my car so I'm guessing he didn't put the right amount and I'm getting a new mechanic that isn't an alcoholic!

The car needs to be level, you have the front on axle stands

if you remove front left tire you will have easier access to the level plug. you might need an elbow on your rench.

Not to sound smart mr. fixit, but you should watch some videos before you post videos, you did this fix the hardest way possible, you just had to turn the driver wheel to the right, take out the level plug and let it drain until it stops then put the plug back in and your done.

Don't ever run a transmission without fluid. You are not a mechanic.
