When Day Breaks SCP-3008

SCP 001 is an Apollyon Class anomaly also known as When Day Breaks.
SCP 3008 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Infinite Ikea.

SCP-001 is the designation given to the Sun, after an event occurred that resulted in roughly 6.8 billion casualties within the first twenty-four hours. Upon contact with visible light produced by SCP 001, living organisms liquefy at the point of contact, with the effect spreading until the entire organism is converted into a form resembling melted wax. Organisms exposed to SCP001 though, do not perish.

SCP-3008 is a large retail unit previously owned by and branded as IKEA, a popular furniture retail chain. A person entering SCP3008 through the main entrance and then passing out of sight of the doors will find themselves translocated to SCP-3008-1.
SCP 3008-1 is a space resembling the inside of an IKEA furniture store, extending far beyond the limits of what could physically be contained within the dimensions of the retail unit.

all i can imagine here is the ikea workers getting even SCARIER and the people living in 3008 being (surprisingly) much safer than those outside the anomaly, think about it, no sunlight is in the ikea, and massive civilizations are already built. This seems like a near perfect situation for those inside

There is a chance that she didn’t get transformed into a blob when she stepped out into the light. The infinite ikea connects multiple universes and it’s possible not all of them contain when day breaks. I guess it’s meant to be left up for interpretation

When Day Breaks is so terrifying because of how sudden it is like disaster.

You don't have time to prepare. The foundation may know that it could happen but never when or if it could.

Like doing a normal day then suddenly a flash flood happens, sweeping everyone away.

I prefer the other version of this WDB story where the 3008 Staff focused its hostility directly at the instances of 001. it kinda made it seem scarier that way when basically every terrifying SCP acknowledged WDB as the primary threat.

For people wondering how these videos get animated so fast. This channel is based from the channel info graphics that use presets characters they dont draw them by hand many of the buildings and people you see are pre made and if they have made it previously they will use it when needed. This is great becuase they explain scp's in way for many to understand.

I'm really enjoying these "when day breaks" stories. a world in which just "sunlight" for a brief moment and it'll result in one of the if not *THE most* gruesome and treacherous of demise.

"When day breaks" and "O, Death" are absolutely my two favorite "XK Class" SCP's.

One little fact that makes "when day breaks" much worse is that it's not actually safe at night. Due to the moon reflecting the light of the sun, the moonlight will have the same melting effect as the daylight.

You know the Infinite IKEA probably could be the best place you could be for when day breaks. I mean you get lots of food and shelter and the staff will help if the monsters get in and plus even if they do drag you outside you might be in a different universe where the event hasn’t happened and probably never will since the Infinite IKEA is a dimension hopping anomaly.

Come to think of it. It's more likely staff members consider the blobs as enemy too and attack them at night fall. They're also organisms not native to the store so it only makes sense that the store considers them hostile too.

682 was sent in there in a cross-test and it was confirmed the staff attacked him. So I don't think they would ignore the blobs.

Has anyone ever dug into the floor of the ikea or tried to reach the ceiling? If so then these would be the safest locations within the infinite IKEA, it not only keeps you protection from the anomalies but it's a perfect shelter.

Shouldn't the blob have tried to take IKEA workers thinking they're humans? Or at the very least, shouldn't the IKEA workers have tried to attack the blob because it wasn't leaving the shop? I don't know if it was just me, but I was waiting for more chaos and confrontation between all three parties, and not such a coordinated attack from the blob and the IKEA workers against the humans. It seemed as if the author of the story cheated, telling the monsters not to attack each other.

Also: shouldn't the blob be trying to bring its victims under the sunlight? That means a blob gets a victim and then spends possibly all of eternity trying to get out of the precinct.
