In my house. Read the sign and stay away or my 2 Dobies, Thor and Zeus, will have an early meal.

Question: Doesn't the Castle Doctrine also assume the intruder intends great bodily harm or death? Or is that a separate issue?

Technically you are correct but the federal government passed a law making all public schools and a 1000 foot perimeter around that school de facto federal property and a gun free zone.

I have been learning law on my own for about 6 years or so from YouTube videos and websites mostly about common law civil rights the Nuremberg code. there can be no contradictions in law so I'm confused about what you're saying here. some states say you have to retreat and some don't - it looks like a contradiction. do they both lineup with common-law or is one more lawful? I think stand your ground is more lawful depending on the situation. retreating can be a choice if you're dealing with very stupid people and you just don't want to get messy. I think a personal fight starts out private first until it starts to affect innocent people or property or terrorize the neighborhood
