As a real pilot here who flies the Cirrus regularly, I usually don't use the VS mode for a climb, I use it for descent. I use FLC mode for a climb, and that allows me to set an actually climb speed in knots. That way you can ensure you climb at VX, VY or a high speed climb, and it will maintain the speed regardless of altitude, as the FPM climb rate your aircraft is capable of will decrease with altitude. An inexperienced pilot for example could stall inadvertently stall the plane if they set a high FPM climb rate, especially if they are not paying attention while occupied with other tasks. In FPM climb mode the aircraft will attempt to maintain that climb rate, even if it is not capable of doing so, until the speed gets dangerously low. IN my real plane, I've tested this in real life, and the planes safety systems take over and push the nose down to prevent a stall, however I haven't tested this in the simulator yet.

Nice video, some comments on your procedures: As was said before you don't use VS for climbs but "FLC", Flight Level Change (called IAS in Avidyne equipped planes). You also diesengage the autopilot when reaching minimums and the runway is in sight. I personally go to full flaps at that moment and slow down for landing. If you don't see the runway you can also disconnect the A/P and fly the Missed Approach manually - OR fly a coupled missed approach with the autopilot.

Also climb using the FLC mode to hold your IAS and that way you don’t get airspeed decay in a climb

I was flying the Cessna 172 with g1000 I just started fling this plane and can’t figure out how to enable gps nav mode. I can get either roll, vor or heading mode. So I’ve been flying by moving the heading bug. How do you activate gps without roll and get it to follow the magenta line. Aka heading? Any help is appreciated. This setup is a bit different than the g1000 in the cessna. This video was helpful but it wasn’t slow paced to learn the functions. Thanks.

Thank you for this tutorial. When you say "Working Title G1000" are you referring to the G1000 NXi?

Nice video. I love this aircraft. I beg someone makes a improvement mod. I want some openable doors, a tablet, I want everything 😂

Informative video, thank you. 🙂 Is the G6 QWERTY keyboard GCU also available in MSFS 2020?

How were you able to get the SR22? All I see is the SF50

Idk if you can help but in my world map it only lets me go direct no waypoints or anything! Any help? Even in the fmc’s!

What do you use to find all your ILS frequencies?

TiJayFLY: I plan to buy the "HP Pavilion All-in-One Model 27-ca1055t computer Windows 11 Pro" and hopefully run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Comes with Intel Core i7-12700, 1920 x 1080 FHD, 32 GB DDR4-3200 MHz Ram (2x16), 1 tb ssd, 2 tb SATA HDD, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 (4GB GDDR6), 200 Watt AC power supply. Can I successfully run MSFS 2020 with this ALL-in-One?

This aircraft crashes so much in the real world I won't even touch it in the sim .
