This short doesn't really teach anything, for it to make sense, you'll have to already know how Euler's formula was derived.

any real number that we use to quantify physical parameter is a complex number with its imaginary component equals zero. the reason why it is zero is because some numbers which we use to describe physical processes are describing processes that are not oscillatory, - they either exponentially decaying or increasing.
