It's 2001. Luscious Blueberry plastics are officially out, and new glossy Graphite plastics signify the dominance of the PowerPC G4 processor.

Today we're restoring a PowerMac G4 (Digital Audio) computer from 2001. This machine features a 733 MHz PowerPC G4 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce MX2 graphics card.

I acquired this machine at the same time as my B&W G3 tower, from the same storage unit. I didn't really want a graphite tower, but it was there and I couldn't resist.

Great history on the voice over for this video. A great perspective from a Mac user who has a sense of Mac history. I have an iPad & Ben is right. The iPad does have limits & hasn’t seen improvements in years but like the Mac, even though it has imperfections it still launched the tablet era good & bad. The convenience of a laptop without the keyboard & screen size hassle still draws me in. Thanks for showing the whole project. Retro computing is a lot of trial & error, hard work, finding old parts & just grinding. It’s great to see someone who appreciates the tech like Ben. Hope the channel gets more exposure & growth.

The most powerful graphite was great computer to pick from the pile. Sharing your thoughts and experiences on the G4/733, while commentating on the restoration project as it plays is a great mix and kept me watching. It was a good length, too. I look forward to the next one. Could it be the G4/667? ;) Lastly, thanks for the shout-out, Ben!

Just acquired a G4 tower and was wondering what products you use to clean it up?
