Lyrics

I got what I came for afterlives ago
but the fire kept me below.
you get what you pay for. trade it all for gold.
we run back into the cold.
I could change if you’d like, but I think you’d like nothing better.
hope is wasting our time when the waiting goes on forever.
I got what I came for afterlives ago but the fire kept me below.
when the warmth disappears the end just goes on forever.
we don’t have to stay here. we don’t have to live like this.
where the battles rage on like the weather
no one’s allowed to love what’s left of us burnouts.
bodies that carve no space, frozen in a fantasy
one without end. one without end.
by the time we saw the sun it had set.
by the time I saw the light I was dead.
you sing into the white abyss. the white abyss sings back to you.
you’re gonna miss me when I’m here. go ahead and miss me
I got what I came for afterlives ago.
but the fire kept me below.
you get what you pay for. trade it all for gold.
we run back into the cold.
I could change if you’d like, though I think we like suffering better.

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

Definitely the hightlight of the record for me, fantastic song. I know they are known for their ragers but this song gave me chills, weirdly sad and glorious at the same time. Thank you guys for an incredible record, you never dissapoint.

When Kieth brought that hook back at 02:40, the first time I heard it, it almost literally set me on fire.

Honestly just like ETID to go out on their best album yet after 20 years of being the most consistent metal band in the world
The ultimate sadness is not being able to see what this tour would have been like

THIS is the song on the album that sounds like real every time I die. This could've came straight off New Junk or Ex Lives

This has that classic southern vibe Keith is so good at that you don't hear too often on the new records. I love how they've progressed, but it's nice to hear some NJA or Gutter Phenomenon. Loving Radical, they did a great fucken job.

Slowly becoming my favorite from this album. Heavy Deftones vibes, but MEGA RIFFS from the boys. Epic, sweeping energy. Love it.

Clearly a fan favorite, they played it both nights of TTS and the crowd sung 90% of it. Itd be surreal if this was the last album, because it very well may be their most complete.

This song is 2 minutes too short. That hook is so good!

I fucking love Every Time I Die. Dude has the most recognizable scream on the planet. Also hearing some serious Deftones vibes here especially with the Chino-esque vocals.

This rips so fucking hard. This dudes could put together a rad doom album.

Sounds like Chino from Deftones. ETID is definitely a favorite of mine. So many styles.

Album highlight for me personally! The harmonies, the production, its just sublime on every level! For me the perfect mix of heavy and soothing in this style of heavier music :)

That F5 inversion is really neat and new/cool to hear from you guys.. still trying to figure out a lot of the stuff you guys did on this song and others on the album 🖤

One of 3-4 really really good songs on the album. What sucks is as Keith had his big "change of heart" about his life, this band and things, it just came at a terrible time...his vocals gained more confidence and went from screaming to more complex and layered like this.
