Lyrics

spare only the ones I love. slay the rest.
make us pay. make us pay. worldwide recall of defective machines.
all consuming, deaf, blind and dumb, as seen on tv.
give us our plague. now. give us our plague.
we’re done evolving and we feel no shame.
spare only the ones I love. spare only the ones I love.
make us pay. make us pay so we can’t remember the look on your face.
eye less clay in a cold, darkened space.
arms outstretched, stomachs fat, a phallus covered in blood
give us our plague. now. give us our plague.
start over, this time no gods unless they’re women.
spare only the ones I love

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

"Spare only the ones I love, slay the rest!"
The exact opposite of
"I want to be dead with my friends!"

It's crazy a band like ETID had to toil on the Vans Varped Tour circuit for so many years (no disrespect many great bands on that tour) when since basically Gutter Phenomenon they should be headlining playing to 30k plus a night. Easily one of the best hardcore metal acts of the last 15 plus years. They simply can't make a bad song. Only ones that aren't as good as some of their others and they never fail at kicking you in the face in the 1st min of every album. Incredible band.

Had tickets to see the boys in 2 weeks. Had tickets to see them headline a festival too. Beyond gutted. Long live ETID

ETID never disappoints man. Keith's vocals so freaking brutal still and Jordan shredding that guitar like a God. Amazing they are this good after 20 + years

How dare they end their career with the best album they've ever released, and I love them all.

I always thought they wouldn’t be able to top “The Great Secret” or “Underwater Bimbos” for an album opener, but then this fucking song happens and starts off one of the greatest metalcore albums ever. It fucking melts your face off!!

RIP ETID, although they will never truly die

I somehow missed this album and just now went back to catch up. This song... holy shit, and "Start over, this time no gods unless they're women" is such a great lyric.
