Since getting this one to fruit would probably take a few years i thought i would stop at 4 months. Will put it in a light spot at home and see how big it will grow over time.

"Selenicereus undatus, the white-fleshed pitahaya, is a species of Cactaceae and is the most cultivated species in the genus. It is used both as an ornamental vine and as a fruit crop - the pitahaya or dragon fruit." - Wikipedia

I had no idea that dragon fruit was apart of the cactus family. Thanks for sharing and expanding my knowledge.

It's amazing how it starts with two small leaves like every regular plant and then suddenly decides to turn into a cactus instead.

Well. Guess I now know what to surprise my big sis with. She loves dragon fruits and the only plants seeming to be capable of surviving with her are cacti.

It’s amazing how just one little seed grows so big, and eventually creates what he started from. Nature is so cool, seeing plants grow just has something mesmerising to them.

Especially trees. How one little acorn can grow into a giant tree, it’s just, amazing.

Dragon fruit is my favorite, but I never knew how it grew and what the plant looks like. I can’t believe it was a cactus

The fact that it took 1:56 seconds to grow is really impressive.

I remember when I was just a little kid, my grandparents grew a plenty of dragon fruit in the yard

Miss them so much

Appreciate that boxlapse started from the utmost beginning- taking the seeds straight from the fruit and putting it in a petri dish.

I'm calling it, a lot of people clicked on this because they didn't know dragon fruit came from cactus (myself included lol)

I remember as a kid, the first time I tried to grow a plant and being fascinated by the tiny growths it made over the few days and weeks I had it. I'd sit there staring for 20+ minutes wishing I could see even the slightest change- and be able to actually see it happen. These videos remind me of those innocent days when something so small was something I wanted so badly, and it warms a very special place in my heart being able to do so.

Have a nice day to everyone who didn't know it's a cactus

I'm glad to know that my tiny dragon fruit seedlings are right on schedule for growing, . I thought mine were stunted since they have seemed to be the same size for ages.

Can we talk about how slowly it grows? Over a hundred days for that tiny bit of growth

In only 20 years you'll have your first dragon fruit to eat

So did everyone just get this randomly recommended to them today?
Huh, guess it's time to fall into a " how to grow " things rabbit hole
