The easiest way I learned to get rid of the seeds is to get some cold water put it in a jar put the dragon fruit in the jar shake vigorously and then use a strainer and now you have a drink and you have your seeds. If you want you can press any chunks that are remaining through the screen and still enjoy the lovely taste.

I admire your dedication…I’m also a self taught horticulturalist(sorta) starting at the very bottom- I killed all my air plants, which is nearly impossible. Now I’ve gone from a small raised garden to apple, peach, blueberries, magnolia, living stones, etc. I just started the growing from seed journey after I found sprouted seeds in a Granny Smith! I did some research and that’s kinda rare, so I took it as a sign I needed more apple trees and these babies needed a mother! Hopefully I will have some luck, but your video definitely inspired me to keep trying even if I don’t!

The white bugs (springtails) are a REALLY good sign for soil quality! They don't need to freak you out, they make your little plant pot bioactive <3

Dragons are so fun to grow! They are really great indoor plants. But fun tip: They are tropical cacti and therefore out of my own growing experience can deal with a bit of wet soil pretty well. They are pretty nutrient hungry though.

If you would like to try another pretty difficult plant to grow I can only warmly warmly recommend passion fruit or it's sweeter brother the granadilla, wich I prefer over regular passion fruit😊

With cacti you should probably feed them once every two weeks and in their growing season you should get cactus food. It has all the nutrients they need to grow

Epic gardening has a really good video on pollenating dragon fruit by hand, using a hand vacuum and a small brush!

That was great 👍 I'm growing yellow dragon fruit. It's the sweetest one. I did a short video of the fruit a few weeks ago. I have 2 pots filled with mixed dragon fruit plants. I'm going to try and divide them. Must be about 50 in each 4 inch pot. I saved them from the trash at a garden center. Have a great day and happy planting 🌱🌿😊🤗

Congrats for your efforts!!! It is recommendable to wash the seeds before planting them so they can germinate better.

The fruit itself acts as a time capsule for the seeds. To sprout them all at once you need to wash the seeds. Get all the goop off

Pretty sure some of those bugs are springtails! They are so good for plants! They eat rot and mold and help aerate the soil

Another thing to keep in mind is that they don't like to be watered too much but they do like to be spritzed with water just not the soil in their natural environment water would condense in the early morning on them for a brief period of time

Girl you need a greenhouse with all these tropical plants you keep trying to grow. 😅 They make good potted plants though they need a really big pot to make fruit.

I love cacti apples! My old roommate had 3 of these cacti outside of her house so whenever they would blossom I'd have to fight the birds to get the fruit.
