Thanks for the vid! The "tail cap switch" was the issue on mine. I tightened it according to instructions in the video and now my flashlight works....I take back all the negative remarks I said about the person that invented the LED flashlight, lol.

Thanks so much for this video. I have a nice, bright Husky LED flashlight that stopped working. I was able to determine the tail cap switch was a little loose and tightening with the use of needle nose pliers as you suggested did the trick!! I would have never figured this out. I'll have plenty of light when taking our dog out late at night.

Cleaning the contacts like you said work I have an xr9 stowed away brand new in box case today I took it out but did not turn on its a new battery pack. I was dumbfounded I followed your instructions on cleaning the contacts with alcohol and sure enough it worked thank you for that simple tip will keep that in mind I understand from olite These batteries are on backorder

Hello I love your video.
I have a 3 Watt 2D digital Brinkmann flashlight which has a display and buttons for off/on, Test and battery status divided in 3 sections.
Yesterday it was working but i press the test button and now doesn't work.
I am afraid that the problem is in the microprocessor, because I bought it used, I wonder if letting it without batteries for some days, the capacitors will drain and the problem will be solved.
Would you have any suggestions for me please?

Since the fit between the flashlight body and batteries is so tight, any battery deterioration can make the batteries unmovable and they are stuck. The Front end of LED flashlights are not easy to remove, depending on the model. Is there anything we coat the battery part of the flashlight with to make it easier to remove batteries if they deteriorate? I have had to discard two $40 flashlights when the AA batteries corroded a little and they became stuck in the flash light body.

Where do you look if light cuts out after 10-20 secs? Charged fresh batteries were used...it just shuts off and then I restart ot and same thing. 10-20 secs

My flash light is the Led Lenser P5R2. I have had for 2 years now and I like it but the switch seems to be have a problem can you assist me on how to repair the switch with the video here on You Tube. When Im charging it the light for charging does not show and this occurred after it had fallen about 1m onboard the ship.

What if you have a Duracell led flashlight? Looks like the taillight switch is snapped into place, not screwed in.

Bro my led flashlight drain battery fastly.. With no reason..
After charging the battery it will be okay but within one week without even using the flashlight battery drains

I find that 95% of the time the problem with flashlights that use three AAA batteries in a little plastic holder, is that there are 4 to 6 places where a coil spring has to make contact with a thin metal contact. One or more of the spring surfaces or contact surfaces gets corroded. They may still look shiny and new, but you may have to scour ALL of those surfaces (including the springs) with a piece of sand paper.

This is why I rather not buy any of them LED flashlights cause they always have problems and you can't even get it to keeping it off.
