Phones are so ridiculous like this speed is insane, how is this achievable with no fans! But I also find it hilarious that you can get different performance numbers with the same processor the same version of Android just with different phones!

As a Google photos user (for viewing, not storage) I totally agree that the performance is lack luster at best. However, biggest props I can give Google is the stabilization tool, so very very handy

Fortunately for the consumer it seems that Qualcomm and the smartphone manufacturers decided to actually optimize the power gains that they advertise for practical usage cases and apps that people can get a lot of use out of especially if you're going to spend a lot of money on a very powerful chip

Interesting. My heaviest task is editing video clips on device. 1080/4k /360° which aging Samsung Galaxy S9+ can do well. However performance per watt is important, if Anddoid can improve battery like like iphone, that's good pull factor. Most of my use is low power stuff.

Would love to know what you use to batch process raw (or soc jpeg) on Android. I volunteer photoshoot sporting events and upload about 300 pictures to Flickr. If I could batch process, even to resize for web, that would be so useful.
