First Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Phones Incoming! | Xiaomi 15, OnePlus 13 | TSW216

The first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phones including the Xiaomi 15 Pro, OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find X8 Ultra are launching soon! Here's a quick look at some of the early smartphone adopters of Qualcomm's SD 8 Gen 4, also possibly called the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but hopefully not.

The OnePlus 13 appears to have featured in the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 advert, ahead of the official reveal later in October. This super-premium flagship phone should smash any game out there with this chipset in charge while the 6000mAh battery hopefully means a day or two of play between charges. The OnePlus 13 also boasts fast charge support, at 100W and 50W wireless.

With similar specs, the Xiaomi 15 Pro should prove hot competition. The brains of this smartphone is again the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, although with possibly less RAM. You've got another massive 6000mAh cell with fast charging abilities, while the Xiaomi 15 Pro's Leica camera tech will be some of the best of 2024, most likely.

Or, if you want something a bit more compact, check out the regular Xiaomi 15 phone. This will feature slightly different cameras, but the same beefy Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 platform. Qualcomm's launch is in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for unboxing and review videos on these mighty flagships!

My OnePlus 11 suddenly feels old when I hear the 8 gen 4 is already around the corner. 8 gen 2 been serving me so well, plays every mobile game at ultra settings and does well in emu since adreno 740 has more support from devs and it has been around for quite some time. Can't wait fof the hype

There's already some hands on review on Dimensity 9400 and its shaping up to be good. If SD8G4 is even better than that, then i think its gonna be a good year for mobile devices.

Looking forward to the launchers review vid, Uncle Spurt! I recently tried Niagara Pro because I fancied something different and less distracting. Although it's very slick and I generally enjoyed using it, I found that I ended up putting 50% of my apps into the favourites section or in folders in the favourites section because it got annoying having to use the alphabet thing to find stuff all the time, which kind of defeated the point of it! I've gone back to Nothing OS 2.6 with the monochrome Nothing icon pack and no app labels. It works great for me, with the added bonus that my wife and kids don't use my phone because they can't find anything on it! 😂 Cheers!
