Hey Fredrik, i know that these sort of videos does not get that much likes but never stop because of this.
It's a fact that there are always less people to listen opinion and have conversation the way you do.

PHP is evolving year by year. PHP 8 is on the way. Hope to see upcoming versions to resolve few issues.

PHP in the last updates can be used as typed a language because now you can declare types. Also I've been looking into file execution vulnerabitilies and you can simply move the uploaded file from the web root into an isolated folder and when someone wants to retrieve it just fetch and write the file to the output stream but as you said there's a lot of protections and configurations you have to do in order to make php usable but it's a good up and running language to test and do personal projects stuff :)

I'm happy you made this video. With PHP 7.4, things are much different and for web environments PHP is faster than most all of the modern alternatives except node. PHP has evolved into an architecturally sound and fast language for many situations. There are also cool new, potentially disruptive, advancements coming out like C-array.

Handling scalable architecture is better with PHP than node with typescript imo. Unpopular opinion, I don't care.
