Creative reconstruction of something cute & cool. And having the satisfaction of seeing your own work is so satisfying! For sure a confidence boost!! ❤❤❤

The fact you actually got it done tho lol. If I started having family members save stuff like this for me my house will be a hoarders haven of abandoned projects 😭🤣🤣

It's BEAUTIFUL!! You and your grandma remind me of my Nana and me. Nana was a teacher but also a talented artist. We have many of her oil and watercolor paintings that we cherish.❤

I am the same. It comes from growing up in the Caribbean. Nothing was readily availabe in the 70s.

Thank goodness for upcycling. Part of the older culture.

Great for making educational toys, scrap paper for my grandchildren and Meeee❤❤❤❤❤

I hope you took pictures of the pages before destroying them. There can be valuable information in old address books

I love these! It brings me back to being a kid and my sister (who is 12 years older than me) helped me make so many things… and I forgot about most of them until watching this ‘chocolate box’ series! I seriously just remembered a mermaid diorama made from a Kelloggs Cornflakes box. As per my artistic direction the mermaid was dangling from thread ‘floating in the sea’ of my clumsy little shadow box 😄 I don’t get me started on the magic of paper mache.

It was the 80’s. Cutting edge stuff!

I just think this series would be such an awesome project for families!!

I hope my kids appreciate the things I save, one day, like your are, with your gramma's. I love junk journal making, but they just don't see the value in papers I've saved to work with.
