This video series on lung cancer explains it better than I've seen and helps to alleviate some of the fear associated with receiving a dx of LUNG CANCER. Thank all that is good for the info and posts from Khan Academy. Like this teacher, good illustrations and to the point.

It's not true!!! SCLC occurs more often in men, such as squamous cell lung cancer. Adenocarcinoma strikes both sexes almost equally.

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in late April 2015 after being sent to a hospital in Bunbury to have my appendix out. I was working up to that day. When I woke up saw the wound, I knew it was more than my appendix. A couple of days after the operation the doctor told me I had ovarian cancer. I was flown to Perth about 2 weeks later. The wound was infected and there was a lot of fluid to drain out. My appendix had not been removed because the surgeon in Bunbury could not find it due to the cancer. On the 3rd of May, the surgeon operated and removed a large amount of my small bowel, appendix, ovary, fallopian tube and the Omentum. After the operation, he was able to confirm that I had Stage 3B grade 1 serous ovarian and peritoneal cancer. I had to be resuscitated the next day as I started to have internal bleeding. This required two blood transfusions. I was in terrible pain. After 9 days in hospital, I went with a gaping hole in my stomach with a drainage bag as the wound would not heal. It took almost three months for my wound to heal. In all, I had 8 rounds of very aggressive chemotherapy and finished on November 2015 and I went into remission from the cancer. I am so grateful to be alive today all thanks to DR.HARVEY who cured me with his herbs and roots I saw his testimonies of people he cured before I collected his contact and purchased his herbal medicine he gave me instructions on how to administer it I obeyed here I'm today free and totally healed I'm forever grateful sir.

Close to 1:17, there is NO cell wall... Cell membrane would be the appropriate term.

I have 2 male loved ones, who never smoked a day in their life, who got small cell lung cancer. I think your facts are messed up.

There are way too many errors in this video even as I sit through first 2 mins. Highly inaccurate. Pardon me but I am not continuing further....

This person has categorized cancer by smokers versus non-smokers....seriously cancer is cancer! Lung cancer occurs in both non-smokers and smokers even with subcategories smoking isn't a real valid presumption

Rather shallow coverage, won't be useful for a medical student.

I remember Dana saying that life isn't always fair, when she was first diagnosed. Supposedly she never smoked. As for your friend today scoping me out, I don't care about anything any of you believes or suspects. Your dirty internet vindictiveness, I think it's all for a reason. I believe all of this, for this many years, is for a reason. There's pleasure in sin for a season, hopefully you'll agree it's appeal has been diminishing.
