Dr. Miguel Angel Medina, Director of Microsurgery with Miami Cancer Institute, says migraines are a spectrum of very specific headaches, and they tend to be associated with other things, like problems with bright lights and loud noises. "These are patients that get headaches anywhere between a couple of times a week to ten or fifteen times a week."

He points out headaches could be associated with problems with blood supply in the brain or strokes, and there are different types of headaches, such as cluster headaches and migraine headaches.
