i am a simple creature. I see Steely Dan, I must watch. I see Samantha Newark, I watch. I see both, and I must like.
This is a great cover. Fagan and Becker are hard men to follow in the footsteps of, their method just leaves everyone playing catch up, but Dr. Wu did their best and it is commendable.

Thanks so much for this peak into your 90's past, Samantha. I LOVE it!!!! What a fantastic cover! I can imagine that Steely Dan's music is most challenging to play and to sing because of all those wonderful syncopated rhythms. "You got to shake it baby, you got to shake it baby..." is probably some of the most complex backing vocals I've ever heard, lol, and you sing it fabulously, Sam! I can't wait to see more footage of you and this tribute band (if you are so inclined). Thanks again for this! Love, Philip

Black Cow & Peg are two of my most fave Steely Dan tracks. Samantha, I wonder if you have any footage of you & the tribute band performing these two? I would love to hear you sing the backing vocals, "I can't cry anymore, while you run around..." and "So Outrageous!!" x 3, amidst those marvellous Tom Scott horn charts.
