It's definitely in the discussion if he can hold it through an entire season. For me the 2000 Pedro year was unreal, the guy was simply incredible that season.

Randy, Pedro, and Greg were nasty too. All really skilled but the game has changed a bit from an ideological perspective, how pitchers take care of themselves, how batters approach the plate, and what players emphasize.

As a 38-year Mets fan, . what "The Great Jake" is doing is amazing, but what Bob Gibson did was better. Gibson had the advantage of a larger strike zone, and a taller mound, but he did it over 300 IP. Jake has pitched 85. And back in the 60's guys knew how to hit. Today, not so much. Hard to compare eras. Let's just call Jake the Cy Young winner in 2021, and call it a day
