Kandi 150cc Buggy Fix, Lights, & Speakers

In today's video we get a new to us Kandi 150cc buggy for my daughter. We get it in the garage and replace the carb and brake master cylinder. Once running good we upgrade the lights with all led headlights, fog lights, turn signals, and taillights. We top it off with some bluetooth atv speakers so she is ready to party. hey i ordered the same motorcycle taillight, had same problem they just stayed on, the issue is that they dont pull enough amps to trigger the flash relay, so either add resistors(which i did, but they get hot and melted their wire out) or buy a low amp LED specific flasher relay and they will work just fine... OR you can just add 2-3 more led lights to the signal wire circuit (to increase the amp load) and they will work aswell...

I've got two Trailmaster XRS 150 ( 2013 and 2016 ). I got tired of seeing them in my shop so I've decided to pull out the old dead GY6s and thinking of installing either a Predator 301cc or maybe a 420cc engine, a 10Tx60T gearing. I've done a few things with my welding machine but this will be a new adventure for me. I've watched quite a few of your vids and I'm convinced that I'll give it a try. You guys make it fun and that's what it's all about, just making something better. Happy trails!

I have that exact same cart and had not had any luck figuring out what brand it was. Thanks for the info and links. Mine has no spark and brake problems.

I am currently working on one of these same karts. I replaced the carb, elbow and air cleaner box as they were all jacked up. I am needing to get an electrical box cover and also go through the wiring harness and electrical box layout so I can try to restore everything correctly. There is electrical tape and spliced stuff going on so would be great to get some photos and layout of that from your Kandi 150 so I can get this thing back to square one. Rather get everything back to spec before trying to even start it or trouble shoot why it quit on them before. Ton of vacuum leak possibilities were there with dry rotted lines, and broken parts around the original air cleaner box. Thanks.

Please do multiple videos on this Kandi cart, I picked up a Kandi cart but have been waiting on weather to cool below 100 degrees to start work on it! I'd love to get it running before added the big bore kit so I could do an honest comparison between the two! I have high hope for this cart being my entrance into custom high performance carts. LOL. Any tips or links to Kandi carts anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to know more about their history, where the sold predominantly and the best place to pick up parts for them. Thanks all.

I have one just like that. My wiring was garbage and i ended up redoing it to my preferences. I put some low profile led lights on it because they blocked less of my view while driving. I recently blew my motor up though so im very interested to see what u have up your sleeve for this one. Best of luck!

Wow 😯 great video bro! I have a 4 seater, and it starts fine, but for some reason the lights are not cutting on or the dashboard indicators, speedometer or the turning singles. I have to hold the key all the way to the right to get it to come on for some reason. Any pointers?

I hope you have better luck than I did with that Chinese taillight with the built in blinkers. I got the same one and the left would never blink. Ended up getting an led strip and cutting off the tag mount and used it for my tag. Keep up the good work!👍

I bought one exactly like this. You know where I can get a wiring harness from front to rear. Whole harness is missing. Was straight wired but wanna fix right for my grand daughters. Not firing now, wanna wire up right so I can diagnose correctly. Thanks

I can't find the continuation of this Kandi mod. Have you posted the new vids? I have a Kandi 150cc with a top speed of 11mph downhill. My question was when you saw the LED "L" display on the dash, is it really a low gear? Because that's what mine shows too.

Hey, glad I found this video because I have acquired the same Kandi 150. Mine had a shredded drive belt which was about all that was really wrong with it. I have relocated the battery to a much better location, up behind the driver side. I am adding LED's to mine also, but rectangle not round; and relocating all the lights to be inside the roll cage in-case of a roll over. I ordered some of the parts you listed and would really like to see how you can improve the performance on this 150. I have seen other videos that have sparked my interest with doing a much larger engine swap. I'll wait and see. Thanks for this video. PS. I will try to send photos later.

I have a 150 cc go cart and Was wondering my old air filter box had two hoses they ran to it from the crank case and from the valve cover which I vacuum but if I put an aftermarket filter what do I do with those hoses that have vacuum
