Nah sis, it's not just you. When I escape I slept for a baby, the best recovering sleep and it only got better after that. Narcissist are real energy vampire, they drain everything from you when in your life. When you cut them out of your life, your life gets better in every way since you get replenish, since you are still connected with the universe. This is why they so desperately leech on their target.

You are saying the whole truth. Lack of empathy is not fiction. It is so much if you narrate the story to someone it sounds made up cos its unbelievable. And the thing is, if you continue to stay you start to normalize it. In fact you meet people that are nice to you and you don't wanna accept it cos you are used to a hard life. To me they are best summarised as people who lack empathy and compassion (they are happy to punish you and see you suffer), jealous and highly manipulative. I tell people there is no hurry to settle. Flee at the first most minor red flag. It only gets more pronounced and you will pay dearly for it. Sorry girl but the way I look at it now is that these experiences make you wiser and also help others not to fall into the same trap.
