I used to get terrible nose bleeds when i was in high school.
I remember one day the nurse tried the tampon in my nose and within half a second it filled completely with blood and shot out like a torpedo from the pressure. I had to go to the ER to get it to stop.

Since as a child, I have horrible nosebleeds (most of them being for no reason, but I can assume it's somewhere along these:
1. I sneeze too hard
2. The air is too dry
3. Might've itched my nose too much)

Whenever it happened, a kind teacher told me that applying an ice pack on the top of the head/neck/nose helps (because it constricts heavy blood flow). Not sure if it's 100% true, but this sometimes worked for me, so I thought I should put this out somewhere.

Wrong. If its just a regular nosebleed. Do not stuff things up your nose. Neither tissues nor tampons. The blood could collect in your sinuses and cause terrible headaches or worse. Lean forward and put a towel soaked in cold water on the back of your neck. Let the blood out.

I'm scared of the first advice I mean what if someone puts that deep into their nose, they will barely get it or choke on it.. I think the 2nd one is better

i have a good one a lifeguard told me. If you want to go on water slides with a nose bleed you can just roll up a napkin and stuff it in your upper lip! The pressure pushing on your upper lip keeps blood from coming out the nose 😅 super helpful and works just fine.
No need to tilt your head back!
