For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8

Amen, it is by grace alone, Christ alone, faith alone, to the glory of God ALONE!

The good news of The Gospel teach us that Only by faith in Christ, it is given to us Grace, that we are justified before God once, and forever He sees us just without our works, nor merits, nor my inherent justice. After being justified there is only for us to praise him, thank him, know him more through His word and obey him, which is the fruit of our sanctification.

Hebrews 10:12-24

On the surface this seems good, but the truth is the reformers believe that true faith is never alone which means they are trusting in their works just as much as the Catholic even though they pretend to believe in sola fide, faith alone. True Christians believe in grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone and that true faith is ALWAYS alone. Romans 3:28.

Let's do some simple math 1Faith +1Christ +1Grace = 3 Here's 3 things that save us but the faith alone folks say its faith alone that saves. They really need some help understanding were not saved by anything alone.

James 2:24 " You see then that a man is justified by works, and NOT by faith alone"

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"

Yeah but Justification is a different concept than Salvation. So... Where does Salvation come in?

"Faith alone" doesn't cut it. The *_Bible_* says "Faith without works is dead":

"But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" (James 2:20)

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2:26)

Did Abraham receive the blessings by "faith alone"? No: *_through_* faith he recognized that he had a real choice to make: stay home, or, leave home and head to the promised land. Abraham *_chose to obey_* and took action. He packed and headed to the promised land, as instructed.

*_Would he have received the promises by staying home and relying on "faith alone"?_* I think not. So it is with us today: we must pack up and head to the promised land and not presume "faith alone" is sufficient.

Real _believing_ is faith plus _doing:_

"My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it" (Jesus, in Luke 8:21).

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Jesus, in Luke 6:46).

We must go through the "strait gate" and walk the "narrow way, that leads to life" to get to the promised land, eternal life in the family of God. Staying "home" and claiming "faith alone" will get you nowhere.

"Easy grace" and its "faith alone" doctrine is a lie, seducing people to believe there's nothing they need to _do._ But the Bible says God "now commands all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30). And Jesus said "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3, 5).

Sure sounds to me like there's something we need to do.

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (James 1:22).

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

This doesn't match up with Jesus Christ's own teaching in the parable of the True Vine. See John 15:1-10. The Father will cut off those who do not bear good fruit (works here = keeping His Commandments) and they will be tossed into the fire.

You are saved through faith alone. But faith is never alone! In other words if you don't have works you are not saved.
Apparently you don't believe in faith alone.

My father was raised in the Roman Church. When he was about 20, he decided he could no longer consider himself a "Catholic" and he considered himself a protestant the rest of his life.

I'm a protestant--dyed in the wool AND I think I should protest anyone trying to explain a doctrine with which he disagrees--especially on a public forum such as YouTube.

The plan of salvation taught by catholics and protestants is not Biblical. Catholics teach earned salvation through works of merit, example :feeding the poor. Protestants teach you do absolutely nothing to obtain the gift of salvation except believe, which contradicts their own doctrine. The Biblical doctrine on " what must I do to be saved" is believe and obey the will of God to obtain salvation. This means their is Gods part in salvation and mans part in salvation. God is ultimately the one who saves us, we cannot save ourselves but God requires us to do, obey Him in order to receive His free gift of salvation. Do we not have to believe? Do we not have to confess Romans 10:9? Gods free gift of salvation is conditional. If it were not conditional, then everyone would be saved. Heres proof that faith alone is not taught in the Bible. John 12:42 "Nevertheless even among the rulers many BELIEVED IN HIM(JESUS), but because of the Pharisees they did NOT confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

These rulers believed in Jesus, they had faith alone, but yet were not saved, why? Because they loved men more than God, they loved their position of power being rulers. They new if they let others know that they believed that Jesus was the Messiah they would jeopardize their power. So THEY DID NOT CONFESS HIM. Which is clearly taught as a requirement in obedience to the gospel. We cannot be saved without confessing our belief in Christ among men. Faith alone could not save the rulers and faith alone never saved anybody since. Heres part of the true gospel of Jesus Christ Romans 10:9-10 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION." We must confess with our mouths publicly our faith in Jesus in order to receive salvation, if not why not? The Bible clearly shows us that those who know the Spirit of God are those who confess our faith in Jesus Christ. And those only who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God in the flesh are of God. 1John 4:2 " Hereby know ye the Spirit of God : Every spirit(mans spirit) that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh IS OF GOD." These rulers believed but obviously were not saved. Now heres the actual example of the act of a person confessing their faith in Jesus Christ Acts 8:37 "Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD." But that's not all that is required by God to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, next verse 38 " So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Phillip and the Eunuch went down into the water, and he BAPTIZED him." Remember Jesus' own last words here on earth Mark 16:15-16 "And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is BAPTIZED will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Here is all that God requires of us to obey the BIBLICAL gospel of Jesus Christ:
Hear : Romans 10:17

Believe: John 8:24

Repent: Acts 2:38

Confess faith in Christ: Acts 8:37; Romans 10:9-10

Baptized Acts 2:38

Once your baptized God adds you to His church Acts 2:47 " praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the CHURCH daily those who were being saved."

The true church we read in the sacred scriptures is the church of Christ Romans 16:16 .God only adds you to His church when you obey the gospel. That eliminates all divisions, denominationalism. Denominationalism is condemned by Gods word: Epheasians 4:4; Epheasians 5:23; Epheasians 1:22-23 named or titled divisions condemned 1Corinthians 1:10-13; 1Corinthians 3:1-4 . Of course the orthodox and catholic churches are just another division, denomination. Have you obeyed the gospel?

Protestant beliefs are contradictory and self refuting which means it cannot be of God.
Belief 1) Good works is only a fruit or sign of salvation
Belief 2) Man will always produce bad fruit (sin)
Conclusion: No Protestant is saved because they will always produce bad fruit
