Dont think it would work that way. Light travels on certain speed and we receive optical information with delay. In the current timeline you would see horus heresy unfolding right in front of your eyes, such big the distance in between, and how small speed of light comparss to the distance it covers. But again, we dont know how people receive warp in general and how it paints itself in reality.
