This helped MUCH! I was worried that I wasn't gonna get that last edge piece in. You're a lifesaver dude!

Thanks so much! I've been trying to put that last edge piece in for a couple of months now and your video helped me to finally complete it.

I accidentaly scrambled mine, i dissasembled it and the most difficult step was the last step. PUTTING IN THAT DAMN LAST PIECE

So the old one has a "normal" core and the new one has a ball core

Dude I dropped juice on my cube weeks ago and got to messing with it today and it was fairly sticky to spin. I took it apart to clean it and realized I had purchased the newer version and it was a serious mission putting the last two pieces together and was at the brink of throwing it away and saying F it I'll buy another one. Then thought 'hey! YouTube usually has how to's and came across yours first. Thank you so much you saved me about $8.99 and gas and time. Much obliged. ")

Did you manage to do a video on how to dissassemble at suggested at 03:45? I have the displeasure of a piece coming out of the ball core and would like to know how it locks back in.

Hey guys!  I'm finding that people seem to be really enjoying my instructions on taking apart this cube.  Are there any other cubes you want me to check out?  Rubik's brand or not, I would love to make this a new series on my channel!  I don't really follow the world of cubing much anymore so I don't know what is out there of interest, so feel free to reply to this comment if there are any cubes you think I should do tutorials on!

I must have a super cube because I can't take this shit apart. I feel I'm going to break it.

Got it apart, cleaned, and reassembled thanks to your video -- getting that first piece out was the trick.

Also I learned an additional trick that might help some people -- around the bottom of each face piece there is one side with a LITTLE notch taken out of it, that give you a bit of extra room in that spot. You can find it by pulling the corner away from the edge pieces a bit and looking around. Rotate your first edge piece out where that notch is.

I can see pretty clearly at the top off your green face at 4:21

Can you make it a bit more clear?

“See how I did that?”
No, all I saw was a close up of your hand.

Once the cube is apart I discovered you can easily use a small screwdriver to reach in from under the center pieces and pop out the color tiles, giving access to the screws. (They snap in, no adhesive)

Quick search came across your video. I let a 7yr old girl play around with my speed cube. Don't know how she did it, but within a minute she had popped the yellow/red edge out. I put it back in and tried to solve it, but it was upside down. I tried pulling and twisting to get it out, but didn't want to break it. Watched your video, well 1st couple minutes. Thanks got my favorite cube working again.

I just got a cube and need to disassemble the core to fix it because for some reason the white square fell out. Did you find an easy way to press the tabs down on the sphere?

What if I wanted the centre tiles off, I see that you have the same cube as me, other videos related to this topic have a different cube where they have caps that are designed to be removed. I removed one of the tiles and adjusted the tension but I am having trouble removing the rest. Thanks.

Thank you so much, my brother took apart my Rubik's cube and I couldn't reassemble it, but is has helped me so much.

The current (3.0?) ones are different from these. The corner pieces are similar but the edge pieces are quite different and the core is very different (it can't be taken apart and each center piece is spring loaded now). Luckily, the same method for taking the cube apart (and prying off the center tiles) works but it's even harder to do now and it's quite a bit harder to put back together.
