Riot Games has officially responded to the allegations of intentional underperformance in the Into the Arcane Tactician’s Crown tournament, and the verdict is in—no disciplinary action will be taken against Shitouren or Liluo. After an extensive review of gameplay footage, interviews, and technical data, Riot concluded that while Shitouren’s in-game decisions were suboptimal, there was no evidence of deliberate match-fixing or collusion.

But does that mean the ruling sits well with everyone? In this video, we break down Riot’s findings, discuss the difference between underperformance and intentional sabotage, and analyze the key points of the investigation. Was it just a bad play, or should the ruling have gone differently?

At least Riot is being consistent here, they’ve had no issue with Chinese wintrading in the past and they have no issue with it now.

I do not agree with this decision from the standpoint of competitive integrity. Unfortunately due to the way the rules are worded its correct to decide this way. It leaves a bad mark for the final day and an overall great competitive set. I couldve been a real nice final day and nailbiting last matches on day 2 but this will be overshadowed forever.

I really hope riot changes their rules for the next set in a way that competitive integrity can be ensured without having a vague ruling with lots of room for interpretation. Because if the rules stay like this, people will emerge by not only playing tft but the rulebook too.

Even Grubby's Onlyfangs Invitational was more competitive. Riot is a disgrace.

tencent is riots parent company. tencent is Chinese. Wintraders were Chinese. This is why I believe they aren’t doing anything about this.

200 ping as an excuse for not placing items is wild. Also ignoring the possibility that a Chinese player tried to boost up another Chinese player.

There might not have been cooperation between two parties but it is obvious that Shitouren knowing that he was out no matter what wanted to help Liluo out. If Lilou had nothing to do with this, it must suck from his perspective and I don't think he should be punished but his spot in final 8 remains controversial.

What made me feel like they were win trading was the slow placing of items, but I didnt realize they were playing 200 ping and also were not used to PC. That to me explains it all

1:37 i can see it clear before my eyes

riot: "hey, did you just blatantly wintrade?"
shitouren: "no."
riot: "ok, good! (glad we don't have to piss your country off by punishing you and preventing you guys from cheating again, haha...)"

“No substantial evidence” is correct, it is not definitive it was win trading. Stop accusing people of doing win trading if there is no conclusive evidence. It doesn’t work that way.
