This would only be useful if you building a new home and plan it out. Most peoples vents do not line up with the wall outlet.

What if your dryer opening doesn’t align with the wall opening?

The point of this device is to create an outlet that DOES line up perfectly with the dryer. You use the “dimples” and template to cut a new hole through the wall for the vent. Old vent hole can be plugged and abandoned. Watch again, and listen to the narration.

Great for new construction and even that assumes the builder will take the time to measure.

Thanks I think I found the solution I bought an old house but refurbished and no vent dryer and I want my dryer close to the wall.Now I'll make a whole from side to side this adapter will work?

This is made to be installed in 2x6 stud walls...NOT 2x4 stud walls...and you will also need to make sure your dryers exhaust pipe does not hit a stud when you push it back and you can install IN BETWEEN studs and finally this vent only accommodates existing 4" exhaust duct piping
