Anytime I cut out fabric that sheds, like minky or Sherpa I leave it on the table (don’t pick it up!) and use a hand vac along the cut edges. It dramatically reduces the fluff that goes everywhere.

I learned the hard way when sewing a Sherpa quilt for my daughter. There was a lot of stitch skipping, and your suggestion of the Jersey needle makes sense. I should have used the walking foot, but I “muddled through”, literally. Great tips . Thank you.

I would like to know where you ought your cotton Sherpa ? Can it be found online? Would be a great help to know I love the fabric.
