Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak clash on workers' rights and economy

Rishi Sunak asked if Sir Keir Starmer can confirm whether a pledge not to raise national insurance applies to employer and employee contributions.

Starmer replied that Sunak was the “experts’ expert” on raising taxes. “I don’t think even Lord Alli is buying any of that nonsense,” Sunak quipped before asking the question again.

“I stick to my promises in the manifesto”, Starmer said, as he listed investment into the UK since the election.
