CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A federal judge cleared the way for hundreds of victims of a moving scam to get their belongings back.

A Butler County warehouse was at the center of this scam. Officials say the scammers would hike the quoted price exponentially after they loaded things onto the truck. When customers couldn't pay, the moving company would apparently take their belongings to one of six warehouses, including one in West Chester.

"The original quote that I got was for $4,500. When they came to load me, they required more money. So, my $4,500 move, by the time it was all said and done, cost me over $10,000," said one victim, Elise Martin.

There were at least 900 other people just like her.

Now, a judge has told federal authorities to open up those warehouses and reunite people with their things.
