If you got the money then go s58 all day but the b58 is not a slouch at all especially considering price point difference

I currently have an M4 Comp the S58 is amazing ! But my last M440 was awesome with the B58 just an all around great vehicle great sound excellent performance! But an M4 is just a step above !

I daily a b58 and I LOVE it but it’s no contest if you’re chasing speed. The s58 is just a better tuning motor. Just wish it sounded better…

S58, it's mechanically a better designed engine

S58 if you want more power for less. S58 motor is stronger stock to stock internals. S58 has been tested to 1000hp on stock internals. B58 is really good with more upgrades and rebuilt with forged internals.

B58 with s58 head and cam cap set up. High power b58 are cracking the intake side cam caps. No fix for it the second gen or light update you find on the m3 or 4m comp or 2023 x3m or x4m has the update heads that will fit b58.

S58 is ultimately superior but as far as bang for buck the B58 is too damn good

B58 if you’re planning on tuning on stock motor and trans 100% vs s58 would need a few extra upgrades to the motor and potentially upgraded transmission depending how far you go
